Let our experienced guides treat you to a day of fun on the rocks! This day of adventure is designed for the first-time climber.

The focus will be on the climbing experience, climbing movement and fun. Routes of various grades will be set up for all to enjoy. This safe, controlled setting is an excellent way to be exposed to the thrill of rock climbing for the first time.

Taylor Boathouse Crag is located in the parking lot of Scenic River Tours. This less intimidating crag is a great place for kids and apprehensive adults.

We have set up 12 half-pitch routes, 80 vertical feet in height, ranging in difficulty from 5.8 to 5.13. This experience is sure to be the highlight of your summer!

Taylor Boathouse Crag
Conveniently located between Crested Butte and Gunnison at our Taylor Canyon office, this is the perfect spot for beginners to intermediate climbers of all ages.
1 ½ hour sessions. We have set up 12 half-pitch routes, 80 vertical feet in height.

Rates: $45 for one climber, $40 per additional climber
Family Special: Everyone climbs for $175 (limit 5 people)

Hartman’s Rocks
One of the most popular climbing areas in the valley, there are literally 1000’s of
routes on dozens of buttresses. A great location that will challenge climbers
of all ages or ability levels.

Rates: Half day adventure $85 per person
~ Family Special: $350 (limit 5 people)

Full day with lunch $110 per person
~ Family Special: $450 (limit 5 people)

Gunnison Mountain Park
The Gunnison Mountain Park is a great place for climbers of all abilities and ages.  A thoughtful outing with the feel of a backcountry route.  Good physical condition required for this approach requiring a 20-minute hike.

Rates: Half Day with lunch $85 per person
~ Family Special: $450 (limit 5 people)

All equipment required is provided including rope, climbing harness, climbing shoes, helmet and instruction by our professional guides.
