What should I wear?
Shorts and a T-shirt or clothes that are comfortable when wet. Don't forget soft soled shoes for wet feet - a must! It is just as important NOT to wear expensive watches or jewelry, or bring anything along that could get lost in the river.

Should I bring an extra set of clothes?
Bring whatever makes you comfortable. We recommend you bring a full change of clothes to warm you up after the trip.

Do you have wetsuits?
Yes, wetsuits are available to rent for $7 for the trip when you check in. Paddle jackets and neoprene socks are provided to you at no charge on every trip.

Do you provide life jackets?
Yes, we have life jackets for all shapes and sizes. No one gets on the river without one!

Do I paddle on the trip?
Yes! Paddling is fun and a big part of the experience! It is not too strenuous and you don’t paddle the entire trip.

Is there an age limit?
Yes. We suggest children be at least 2 years old for the Class I & II Gunnison river float trip. Kids should be about 8 years old for the Middle Taylor Class II trip. Kids should be at least 10-12 years old for the Upper Taylor Class III trip. These are guidelines only. High/Low water levels and group make up are also taken into consideration.

Where is the Main Office?
The main office is located on Highway 50 in Gunnison. The whitewater office is located 17 miles northeast of Gunnison.

Can I get photos of my trip?
Absolutely! We offer 8 x 10 color photos and photos of your trip on disc, check out the Photo Gallery for more details. You can also find your photo online after about a week at whitewaterphotography.com
