The Gunnison area offers some of the best rock climbing in Colorado, experience it for yourself on one of our guided rock climbing trips. Climbers can experience the beautiful high mountain desert of Hartman Rocks, or the soaring buttresses of Taylor Canyon and Gunnison Mountain park. Climbers of every experience level ranging from complete beginner to veteran will find something tailored to their skill level on our climbing trips.
No prior climbing experience is required but climbers should be reasonably fit and in good general health with a sense of adventure. All equipment required is provided including rope, climbing harness, climbing shoes, helmet and instruction by our professional guides.
Taylor Boathouse Crag
Conveniently located between Crested Butte and Gunnison at our Taylor Canyon office, this crag offers excellent half pitch climbs in the alpine environment of Taylor Canyon. The convienient location makes this trip perfect for those who want to try a little of everything. This is the perfect spot for beginners to intermediate climbers of all ages.
Climbing sessions are an hour and a half long.

Hartman’s Rocks
Located in the high mountain desert south of Gunnison, Hartman Rocks is one of the most popular climbing areas in the valley. This location is home to literally 1000’s of routes on dozens of buttresses as well as beautiful scenery and an amazing view of the Gunnison valley. This great location that will challenge climbers of all ages or ability levels.

Gunnison Mountain Park
The Gunnison Mountain Park is a great place for climbers of all abilities and ages. Located halfway between Crested Butte and Gunnison, up Taylor Canyon this site offers breathtaking apline scenery and some of the largest buttresses in Taylor Canyon. A perfect outing for those who want and exciting backcountry experience.
